golf lesson kyle, 8/31/2010

1) ball has crept forward, bring it back. 6i just forward of center
2) shoulders a tad open
3) weight tends to fall backward, be able to dance on heels, move away from ball slightly and lean on shoelaces.
4) alignment alignment alignment! see the line first, a few feet in front of ball. set up clubface, then right foot then left foot.

tendency to rush swing and hands get ahead of body, clubface is open that is why ball goes right.

playing lesson kyle 8/1/2010

alignment continues to be a challenge. tend to align left.
ball position tends to creep back, especially for hybrids. this is what causes terrible lefts.

work on drill -2 tees serve as gate. ball just forward of gate. face is aligned between tees. pin 3 feet forward serves as intermediate target. align to intermediate target rather than setting up clubface behind ball. This also works for putting.

tendency is to not get weight forward and finish shot when i feel shots are tough.
golf is feel, visualize ball going where you want. body will make it happen.

punch shot. ball only slightly backward, finish low.

mentally-be confident and positive.

hole 1-driver is okay
hole 2-leave 160 out. wedge for second shot.
hole 3-driver okay, align carefully
hole 4- consider hybrid when tees are back
hole 5- driver okay, 4 wood okay. align carefully.
hole 6-hybrid hybrid wedge-
