chipping lesson
setup involves standing upright and gripping club at top of grip.
weight forward, much more forward than normal. feet separated by 6".
open stance. close clubface.
to swing, rock shoulders. be sure to catch momentum and then maintain right hand flex.
we will be hitting running chips a lot.
hands may need to be further from body than normal. shaft more upright.
plan to use 58 degree wedge more.
weight is so far forward that fat shots unlikely.
blading ball is unlikely as long as right hand maintains cocked position.
pivot shoulders rather than strike ball.
be sure to have closed clubface and swing along toe line to impart spin on ball.
