progress
need to keep head level throughout backswing and transition
1)settle into athletic stance
2)to ensure head stability, will keep left shoulder pinned to chest on backswing. need to keep shoulder from passing chin on backswing
arms go back and level and then up with elbows turning steering wheel at same time. to help allow shoulder to stay level.
turn shoulders around central pivot. right shoulder around body and up.
fire arms
try to make sure club pinches ball and sweet spot a few grooves up strikes ball.
try to reduce amount of forward press at setup.
bunker play.
can't go fat, pay attention to right wrist
need momentum, not speed
stick bounce in sand just under ball, finish swing with club over right shoulder.

progress
Full swing
right shoulder controls length of backswing; remember to let elbows turn steering wheel
right shoulder back, right shoulder to left foot on down swing
soft arms
slide club under ball and then slowly allow club to rise; tendency to get too steep.
with driver, set up very level. keep bottom of club at ball height, tendency to drop on full swing, like jamie sadlowski talked about with the elevated tee.
swing level.
right shoulder controls backswing length.
Pitches
must keep elbows under control
if elbows roll open, can shank the ball.
finish with right hand
tendency to let backswing get too long

Swing thoughts
Keep arms ahead of body! Finish right arm. Keep elbows ahead of belly button. Bad swings usually from arms stuck behind body. Especially pitches.
Rotate steering wheel on backswing.
Especially on pitches, need to be aware of left elbow. Rotate steering wheel. Stay on target line. Visualize club mass moving into ball.
Remember Monte excess head movement video. Drill with left eye shut and right eye shut
If ball going left , consider whether head moving forward. Need to retain inside out swing and head back. Imagine shallow swing like airplane taking off

range sessions post monte
keep right humerus moving forward
left arm off chest
short backswing 1-2 count to limit lift at end of swing, right elbow to belly button
keep chest turning on target line (iron man chest light)
head alignment-head up a little, look down on ball
keep left elbow rotated out to maintain levels, full swing and pitching. must finish right arm swing!!!
Monte 3
Monte 3
Bunker play swing right arm fully with open face (However if hardpan light, need to engage bounce, but clubface slightly open to lower leading edge)
Keep body still
Finish swing with right humerus forward (failure to do this is cause of blades)
Concern is spinning out with hips (this is usually cause of bad shots)
Trouble means hands held on or body spin
Keep spine stable on backswing!!!
Turn belly button, keep right arm moving in front of belly button
Don't lift!!!!
Full swing.
Laser from sternum stays on target line backswing to finish. Turn not lift
Backswing -laser stays on target line
Downswing turn chest down target line
Right elbow to belly button
Right shoulder to ball
Get left arm off chest!
Finish swing
Monte 2
Monte 2
Head still, aimed down line. Eye line needs to be parallel to target line. Alignment very important for me. Head neutral. Consider lifting head slightly at setup and looking down on ball a little more.
Be careful of lifting on backswing. Think of leaning down with left shoulder on backswing. work on 1-2 count and then swing 1 ends backswing and 2 is contact.
Right Elbow to belly button
Right shoulder to ball
On follow through, get left arm off chest!
tiny nudge of right hip is all that is needed
iron man chest light remains on target line, slight body tilt at end of swing
keep right elbow in front of belly button, don't let body outrace elbows on down swing
To hit it low with low spin, ball forward and get arms really forward
Alignment
Field goal 12" in front of ball for target
Ball Position
Driver armpit wedge sternum
Pitching. Tendency to lift remains
Putting
Get right arm forward
Keep hips stable
swing the club, don't hit the ball
voodoo green reading
Monte 1
Monte
In bunker speed is enemy
Accelerate like a minivan
right humerus forward
keep weight stable until very end of swing
just slight bump forward
maintain levels
When pitching get right humerus forward. Keep right arm moving. maintain levels. I tend to lift up at end of backswing. 1-2 count to control (shorten) backswing. left elbow out to quiet thumping tendency
Blades come from accelerating too much and club kicks up
Right shoulder drops leading not to shank. Get right shoulder forward instead of down
Full swing
Left shoulder , right shoulder drill
Rotate shoulders around spine
Left shoulder to ball keep low
Prob:
Lose spine angle then head lifts then swing in to out.
Need to keep head from lifting and dropping, tend to let head rotate when left shoulder moves
Keep arms in front of chest
Get right arm way forward and allow soft arms to finish shot
Arms forward enough will take care of chicken wing.
Drill where right arm way forward will help limit backswing. Hips open after that.
